Pivot with Purpose - Tuesday, 21 April 2026

Thanks to Chair Margot Slattery, the Pivot with Purpose event was held at the Alliance Française on 21 April. Co-organised by Ann O'Connell and Sonya Lennon, the event explored the issue of pivoting and repositioning at key points in our careers.

The panel of Gervaise Slowey, Claire Duignan and Noelle O'Connell was moderated by Sonya Lennon.

The themes included knowing when the time is right to leave, the challenge of personal admin, and the opportunity of using hard-won experience and wisdom in new ways. We also discussed the issue of assigning personal value and the power of the IWF network.

The panel shared their personal stories with generosity and openness, and attendees' engagement was evident in their questions and comments.

We were treated to excellent, generous hospitality by the Alliance Française team that night.
